Not being too critical it's cheap and cheerful.
Straight out of the box it works when constructed.
This is just a lump of plastic. The box contains an empty shell for the drive, a short USB cable, a screw, some sticky padded pieces and the all important SATA circuitry.
Easy to put together but this is the first time in an age I've had to construct a hard disk caddy in any way. For a little more you'll get a much nicer Akasa or IcyBox unit that has more durability and is better constructed/designed. For one of those units you'll just place the drive on the SATA interface and pop it back together.
I can't fault it's workings but it just feels very, very cheap. I'd certainly not want to be constantly swapping out drives (which I do on other SATA caddys) on this as it feels as though it wouldn't last too long.
I'd spend a little more and buy a better caddy.
