Buffalo LinkStation Live is a network attached storage built in DLNA server, designed for home networking to share your documents, pictures, movie and music over a network.You can store contents from network computers or using the one touch direct copy function that is a means of taking pictures or movies from your digital camera, camcorder and storage device via USB port directly. Stored data can be shared on your network and a built-in DLNA media server can stream it to a PC, a MAC, a Buffalo LinkTheater and other DLNA Certified entertainment devices.

The web access feature enables you to access your data and media stored in the LinkStation via the Internet by computuers and iPhone's. With a built-in BitTorrent client, LinkStation can download content without the requirement to keep your PC powered up.

 Good but a little time needed to set up

I love this item. The link station is a powerful addition to any home network. The back-up solution is tremendous and for its price, an amazingly good buy.
The Buffalo Link Station is ahead of the game and is i-tunes ready and the PS3 had no truble in finding it either.
Everytime I log on to my PC, the link station turns on automatically and is ready for use. If I want to play something through my AV system, then the PS3 acts as a great server.
This device shows me more and more tricks everytime I turn it on! A future proof product for now and for tomorrow.

Bought this to store photo's, music and video I I had been storing on both my PS3 hard drive and PC. Now everything is in the one place and accessible by both. The firmware needed upgrading after purchase as some features didn't seem to work properly. After the upgrade (took about an hour to download and apply) everything seems to have been fixed. The built in torrent client is easy to use and works a treat. For the money and amount of storage you get i'd recommend this NAS to anyone with a PS3 and a wireless/wired home network.
