If I could have given this external hard drive no stars I would have it comes pre-formatted but after loading all my music, tv series and films on it (the reason I bought it in first place as my hard drive on my laptop was full) it then insisted I format it however if I did I would lose all the data I had transfered to it 200gb!! so it will be going back the only reason I havent sent it yet is Im still hoping to get my music and films although I think its more a wish than a reality I have generally been pleased with the products I have bought off Play.com but this has really soured the company for me and from now on I will not purchase anything that doesnt have a review to check on its reliabilty the data I have lost is far more valuable than the hard drive I will say again DONT TOUCH IT it is not fit for purpose

This is formatted to fat32- perfect for ps3 owners- there is also an added power of switch which is a nice touch, very quite over all great harddrive

I bought this over a year ago and it's fantastic. Easy to use, very fast at transfering data. I use quite frequently and have over 750Gb on so far. Connects to everything I have without fuss.
Not sure why someone else has slated it.
Honestly an excellent buy, I paid GBP 90 for it and now even more of a bargain

I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to play.com, What a fast delivery. I ordered this product on mon evening, received an email the next day to say it had been posted and it arrived on the wed two days after it was ordered, The hard drive is about the same size as a wireless router, its quiet and super big on space. I found downloading my data reasonable fast aswell. BUY BUY BUY with confidence.

Ive just bought a 2nd external Hard drive and went for this one purely on the price. So far so good, easy installation, have dumped 500Gb's worth of all sorts of video and photo's on it and its been fine. Not the most exciting of designs but does what it says on the tin. No complaints so far and I can recommend it
