The little brother to its 108mps brother, I own both this and the brother.

As my internet connection is at fastest 8mps the 54mps this is capable of is more than capable. I bought the 108mps so I could stream video as fast as a wired 100mps connection to my xbox 360. If your not looking to stream video between PC's and other devices in your house. Then this is all you need to browse the internet at todays fastests speeds as even though you'll connect oto your router at 54mps the router is only connected to the net at max. 8mps.

I bought this product for my sons PC and am very impressed.

It works around 15 metres from my wireless Hub, but in those 15 metres is one floor and 3 walls.

I still get a good rating on my wireless network according to windows.

It is speedy, holds its connection and is great value, it comes with a USB extender as it can be tricky to put right into the back of your PC.

Wanting to go wireless. This is a good product, small compact and works through walls and ceilings

 useful but could be better

ok im using this for gaming seriously, like batlefield 2, 2142 and COD4. whilst it runs fine on games like the total war series, it starts to struggle on anything EA or punkbuster related. and another problem is overheating. it gets very hot very quickly in a confined space.

however for light tasks like explorer based gaming, msn or emails, it is perfect and so long as you dont put it in a box, will run fine for a long lifetime. the range for me is fairly good, at about 30 m from my dining room upto my bedroom, through 2 walls and 1 floor. i have not yet found its limit, as it works throughout the house on my laptop on which i took out my wireless pci card

i had a few problems setting up, im using the netgear router. but those were quickly rectified using the netgear support site, which is very good and relatively quick.

im am currently exprienceing problems with cordless phone interference. however this is simply the cordless phone i use.

overall a well worth it product as it does have a good range, works with all wireless types and can achieve amazing speeds, all for that price

 Great product!!!

Intially i had problems setting up the wireless connection. This was due to the router settings and after i configured the router it was working perfectly.

Good when it works but a pain to setup.

I've recently got broad band as I was sick of the slow internet connection an ordinary phone line gave, so I finally took the plunge and was extremely happy with the speed of loading web pages and, most importantly, how quick it was to download.

I then thought it would be a good idea to go completely wireless as there were wires all over the place at home and didn't want my little one to trip over them. So after reading reviews on Play.com I bought this wireless adapter. Whilst it is fairly easy to setup, initially I wasn't very impressed with the internet speed being almost as slow as normal internet.

However I was told that the channel my router was using was 6, this seems to be the default channel for new equipment, and I should change it to something like 2 or 11 (you may need to experiment). Once I did this I noticed a distinct improvement in the speed of loading WebPages and downloading. Although it is still not quite as quick as using wires (network cable) it is still worthy enough to buy as the difference between this and normal internet is huge, between wireless and wired connection it is less noticeable. If you look at how many mbps (megabytes per second) download speed it is using mine tends to flitter between 1 and 50(ish) mbps (and averaging somewhere between the two), whereas before changing the channel it stayed at either 1 mbps or lower and it struggled.

However I also had the router near to the computer at the time and when I moved it to where it should have been I had problems again. I think this is down to it being too close to the phone as the signal can interrupt it. But even with the phoned moved away it still isn't as quick as it was before. It tends to go through pockets of quickness and slowness and I can't figure out what to do.

So you will probably have to alter the settings to be able to get the full benefit, as yet I haven't figure out how to set it up properly (which I'm sure I will be able to work out eventually). I'm sure it is a good adaptor, but good luck trying to get it to work as I have become very frustrated with this.

 Good But Not So Good

This sort of wireless adapter is good for just browsing but when you play a game like COD4 the adapter gets boiling hot and then disconnects from the internet. I don't think this usb adapter is any good I paid £20 and it is no good so if you like browsing the internet i suggest you buy it BUT if you like gameing online on any game that is not on somewhere like gamegarage i dont suggest you buy it.

Cheers
