This item comes with a remote, adaptor. but you'll have to get an hdmi cable on top. If you have a good size flat screen and dolby surround, this media player will work with 5 speakers, and great quality of image... Get it without thinking, it's a no brainer...
i was round a friends house when another friend showed up and pull it out of his bag and said "Check this out" and then pulled out a large 1Tb hard-drive and then set it up in seconds and the next thing i knew we was watching Divix and AVI files on the TV. The next day i went online and found it on PLAY.COM and for under 25quid i was a happy man. When it came i set it up with one of my hard drive's and was up and running in no time and it work's very well (HD or not this little box does a grate job for ya)
note the only video files i found that didn't work with it was WMA video files which i don't use. so it passed my test and i've been working in A/V for over 12 years now.
This is a nice little piece of kit. I bought one after seeing a friends. Plays most films I have, found one that works fine through my Xbox 360 but not on this so I dont know what is going on there. On the whole a brilliant little toy that rules out the need for an external host like Xbox or PS3 to play your films through.
Noticed another reviewer mentioning the remote, i did a google search and you can buy replacement remotes for 6 quid, Ive not tried the site so can t ensure how good they are.
This little gadget really is brilliant - it will play virtually any format that you are likely to have on your flash or hard drive and will even upscale when using the HDMI connection. Picture and sound quality are really good and all the functions of a DVD player are available via the remote.
Not tried the Music or Photo options though so can't comment on the quality or functionality of those.
Yes, the remote is rather small although I wouldn't go as far as to say that it is fragile. It can, however, be difficult to read in the dark not only because it is so small but also because the printed symbols are dark blue ..... on a black background! Still, this is but a minor niggle - I just printed an A4 copy of the remote from the user guide (suppled on CD) until I got to know my way around it and then it is surprisingly user-friendly.
Even my wife is amazed by the Micro and she is the ultimate technophobe.
Don't delay, get one of these today...
a fantastic piece of kit...mixed with a usb hard disk you`ll never need another dvd again, and you can have everything you own accessed at a click or two.
but you should beware.
the remote is very very delicate, and without a remote its totally useless.
and the remote control supplied is a sealed unfixable unit.
Excellent bit of kit!
You can take your media anywhere, upstairs?,to a friends?,to a party? Anywhere!
I borrowed one of these from a friend who paid £30 plus at a computer fair so even cheaper than the 'wholesale' outlets.
Was delivered within 48 hours too even during the postal strike?
Highly recommended item!
