With the Logitech Performance Mouse MX, you have the power to achieve. You can track precisely on more surfaces - even glass tables (4 mm minimum thickness) - thanks to Logitech Darkfield Laser Tracking.

Your tiny Logitech Unifying receiver stays in your notebook. There's no need to unplug it when you move around, so there's less worry of it being broken or lost.

You can recharge your mouse through your computer or a wall socket, even while you're using it, with flexible micro-USB charging. You'll fly through long documents with hyper-fast scrolling. And its sculpted, right-handed shape with integrated thumb controls puts everything under your command.

Product Features:

Logitech Darkfield Laser Tracking gives you precise cursor control on virtually any surface, even glass tables (4 mm minimum thickness) where optical and standard laser mice fail.

The tiny Logitech Unifying receiver stays in your notebook. There's no need to unplug it when you move around, so there's less worry of it being broken or lost. And you can easily add compatible wireless mice and keyboards to the same receiver.

The flexible recharging system uses a micro-USB cable to recharge your mouse through your computer or a standard wall socket - even while you're using it. You'll always have the power you need to get the job done.

Hyper-fast scrolling lets you fly through long documents and Web pages with a single spin of the nearly frictionless scroll wheel.

The sculpted, right-handed shape guides your hand to a naturally poised position and places integrated controls for Web browsing, application switching and photo viewing within your thumb's reach.

Good Mouse but is it worth the price?

I bought this mouse about 4 weeks ago as my old laser mouse was past it. After the initial excitement of having a wireless mouse for the first time, I started to notice a few things that just take the shine off it. This is one of the most expensive mice out there and for the price you would expect flawless performance.

Pros:
- very impressive battery life, only had to charge it once after 4 weeks use
- Tiny USB dongle, great for laptops.
- no wait to sync with PC (turn it on, start navigating)
- Works with Playstation 3 for navigating menus and web-browsing, not games though :(
- free wheeling mouse wheel makes scrolling up or down a breeze

Cons:
- I've got large hands and I end up holding it in my fingers which isn't as comfortable as my old mouse.
- Noticable jerkyness during games (this could well be an issue my old laptop and not the mouse), not as smooth as a wired mouse.
- side navigation buttons too far back on mouse to be truely comfortable.

All in all I'm happy with my purchase, but whether it was worth the money or not, only time will tell.

 Nice

I have had my Logitech MX Performance Mouse for a year or so now. I moved from the MX1000 that I liked a lot. The first thing I noticed with the mouse was that the thumb rest/indent gave my hand severe pain because it's quite deep. The Mx1000 and this mouse are very very similar in size and height and that is the only thing I can think of that made my hand hurt so much.

Anyway, time has long since passed and I have gotten use to it now and I'm looking to get a spare before these disappear like the MX1000 did.

I play games with this mouse with no issues. Used it on windows XP for a long time now I'm on Windows 7 with it. Played WOW, Fallout 3 GOTY edition, Fallout Vegas, and numerous others with no lag issues. I have the dongle in my monitor so the line of sight is only eighteen inches away. The only other option was in a socket at the back of my case and this did seem to be laggy as the case is on the floor and my desk is also in the way. It did work, but wasn't good enough for gaming. MY PC is about four years old so it's not top of the line by a long stretch.

At the end of the day, I didn't like the mouse, but now, I'm looking for another, so I guess I am now very happy with it. :)

 Unintuitive and Poor

After thirty seconds of use with this mouse I realized a massive design-flaw.
The laser tracker is placed on the left side of the mouse and does not account for mouse angle, this means that by moving the mouse left to right using the natural pivot-point on the wrist will cause the cursor to draw diagonally towards the top-right of the screen.

This is horribly unintuitive and it seems as if they have forgotten all the basic principles of practical design with this mouse.
Other than this huge deal-breaker, the mouse rests comfortably enough and it looks great, but honestly if the mouse doesn't work properly, none of that stuff really matters, so I'm taking away three stars.
