I bought this controller not expecting the best of the best but expecting a versatile peice of equipment that is very easy to learn, this is for very basic mixing and its highly recommended if you want to start out djing, but i will weight out the pro's and cons for you.

+ Sturdy and well built
+ Great value for money
+ Very nice backlighted buttons
+ Comes with free basic software

- Software is very limited as to what it can do
- Upgrading the software to full can cost 200+
- Jogwheels have a delay with scratching ( this is due to the jog wheels bieng non touch sensitive and therefore doesnt know exactly when you have finished scratching so it can resume the track)
- Setup can take a while and those that have insufficient computing experience might find it tricky

Buy it if - You enjoy mixing tracks together but you dont need to scratch.

Thanks for reading i hope i have helped :)

I bought this when it just came out. The moment I saw it and the specs i sold my m audio x-session pro. I've used this at a few house parties events and even a fashion show. If you're just starting out then the software is quite easy to get used to. But make sure you read the manual if you want to do more than play a few tracks cause it took me a while to figure out how to make playlists etc. Its streets ahead of similar priced controllers and it looks the part. Do remember that this is just a controller. There is no built in soundcard so you need to be able to listen to the track playing out and the track you want to cue up.
The only bad point is that the scatching isnt as good as i would like (scratching is ok but when you let go to play the track there was is a slight delay) but the jog wheel is as good as one on a cd mixer for cueing tracks so who cares. The FX and loops are crazy and work great when mixing. Live I said before its a bargain price and works great on my asus eee notebook .I took my cd mixer out to a gig on friday and wish i brought this with me as i enjoy mixing house tracks on this more.
