First impressions, Nice looking drive and sounds like it does all I want and more.
Installing drive, pain in the backside! web interface not that easy to navigate around but ok when your used to it. Things not that self explanitory, need a bit of I.T knowledge to work.
PC won't boot when USB plugged in so have to keep removing USB to boot PC!
Not recognised as a boot drive on USB, pointless for imaging machines for backup.
If you have myshare and openshare for your files you see the same files twice in both drives confusing as there is only one copy! if you delete from one it is deleted from the drive and so removed from the other.
Torrents download great which is a good feature freeing up the PC's and also it's streaming is great for PS3 or philips streamium.

I wouldn't really consider this a USB drive as it seems incompatible with most things PC Laptop etc and cannot be used for imaging drives which is one of the main uses I have for USB drives.

If it did all the things it says and was compatible I would definately give it 5 but you have to decide if you want a USB drive for backups etc or do you want a NAS (network drive) for streaming audio video pics files etc.

given the choice again of a USB hard drive or the Lacie I would get the USB and save half the money!

I wanted a solution to my expansive Itunes library (over 50gig) and My home theatre ideas! (xbox 360) This is it!

It has an Itunes server but it limits your view to list! I like to see album art so all you do is drag your itunes music library to the disc and itunes moves the paths to the new directory! So when you burn a disc/import or buy tracks, it automatically gets saved on the lacie in the new directory! Saving oodles of space! (it was on a usb external drive before, tired of plugging it in before having to sync my iphone) Which is another brilliant thing! I plug my iphone in to my macbook and boom, perfect sync with all music/movies and apps!

The XBOX pics it up no problem and streams it perfectly to my TV!! (and you can access all of the music stored in it to play through your tv speakers etc)

I keep the drive upstairs as that's where my router is but my macbook and xbox are both downstairs in the living room! You can plug a USB printer in and access that wirelessly or another usb hard drive really providing a long term wireless storage solution!

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I expect computer companies to be able to have great browsers etc! This doesnt, but it's not an issue for me as I drag and drop!!

Easy to set up, easy to use, perfect for what I needed it for!!

The drive was easy to set up, the USb function did not work but that is not why it was bought. It has been hooked up to my BT router and stores my itunes library and auto backs up my hard drive. It retrieves the information very quickly and streams with no lag. Quality drive and one to purchase to free up space on your pc or mac.

Crashes, noisy, unreliable. It has been a complete nightmare all round and I am happy to throw it out. Don't buy it!
