I bought this harddrive with intensions of backing up my computer, my movies, music and all the images I have on there. Now I have more space then I know what to do with!
Its a great looking harddrive, not too big and not too loud! Very fast data transfer speed, the only shortfall is the USB cable is quite short, but serves no problem really.
Great little extra is that it works on the PS3. Though if you are going to play media on there, make sure you create folders 'Video', 'Picture' and 'Music'. You can have folders inside them called whatever, but no more folders inside those folders or the media won't show.

Recently upgraded my PS3 Internal hard drive from an 80gb to a 500gb but this still was not enough!! so i purchased this hard drive hoping that it was PS3 compatible.......3 words...... OH MY DAYS!!! It came pre-formatted in FAT32 (PS3 Accepted) i literally opened it plugged it in and turned it on and WOW!! Highly reccomend that if you have a PS3 you buy this to hold all of your backed up movies, music and photos. With this the possibilities are endless!! Thanks Verbatim Ten out of Ten!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had been hunting for a drive for a PS3 for ages and stumbled accross the previous reviews on this one saying it came formatted to FAT32 (the PS3 file system) as I didn't want to partition a drive this was perfect! 2TB for a great price, and a compact size too, smallest one I've tried.

PS3 users, this is the drive for you!

Got one of these to back up one of my existing 2tb drives (which was over 180.00 when I originally bought it way back when). Drive is solid, fast and does the job. For people complaining about it not being formatted NTFS, it takes minutes to quick format it, not everyone uses NTFS (Mac OS Extended here). Given that I'd rather it come not formatted but then it is a tiny point not worth mentioning. Some people will find fault in anything.

Arrived 5 days after placing the order. Truly brilliant design. Only minor issues short USB cable (easily resolved by swapping with longer on), FAT32 (had to reformat) and finally clicking sounds while transferring data. Get part of the drive is the space (of course) and the transfer rate is better than on my last drive. The on/off button also makes things easier. Operationally have not had any issue with this drive what so ever.

This is an excellent hard drive for the money - as the last reviewer said you have to change it from fat 32 to ntfs for files over 4gb - this shouldn't take as long if you use freeware software, ie.partition master.
