does the job.. very lightweight n small, robust shell too. excellent storage capacity and mobility. had it for several months now and not experienced a single problem

Bought this just to hold music to transfer between PC's/ Consoles etc.. brilliant 8gb holds quite a few tracks and works fast. Very slim & small design - actually looks better in real life than on the picture!
Only thing that annoyed me is the price keeps going up and down, haha!!

I already have two of these from keeping copies of my websites and other scripts etc I need to keep with me at all times to access on any PC, and I think they are so great, I'm just about to order another two for some future projects I have lined up :)

P.S. A++++++++ Highly recommend buying as these are not only great value at under 10 pounds (5 atm on Monday offer) but they are highly reliable, fast and actually have almost the full 8GB of free space unlike a lot of USB sticks which you lose a lot of space on.

I was wondering why it was so cheap, I have had two of these flash sticks and both of them have corrupted and lost data every time. I plug it in the front of my computer, it fails at least 3 times before its recognised, it does the same on my 2 laptops and my other desktop. Very poorly made. Copying data is a nightmare! "location is not available!" 3 out of 5 times this appears. AVOID!

yes it's tiny and yes it's cute but omg the transfer rate is the slowest i've ever experienced since the days of atari and floopy disk (in fact i think that was faster). i loaded a 2.2gb avi file onto it and it took 8 mins! even the smallest of file transfers takes ages.
if you have all the time in the world and need a cheap stick then this will represent good value but i think even the most patient person will find them self screaming at this annoying little stick!
do a quick google and you'll see other honest reviews with people warning you not to buy this thing. AVOID.

A bit worried as for the negative comments about speed. I clocked 4.7MB/s Write and 19-20MB/s in read both with original FAT32 and with ext2fs (similar values for 1GB, 100MB, 10MB and 1MB files; filled up the 8GB with the three biggest sizes). Now made two equal partitions (FAT32 for win and ext2 for me :) ). Installed Lubuntu on FAT32 as LiveCD, works quite well.

Given the brand i was surprised to get this for the price. I bought this to plug into my son's tv to record and playback programmes. So it's size is ideal as it is small and discrete for plugging in to the side of a tv. Speed is more than adequate for this purpose as well. If you plan to use it as a general data store then worth knowing it does not have a end cap and no led.

Since Sandisk are one of the leading manufacturers when it comes to flash memory i think that 8 pounds for 8Gb is excellent, yeah its small and its made of plastic, but thats why its cheap, its entry level but with the typical Sandisk performance and since it is only a flash drive how could making it any other way make it better, you use it for transferring files not to defend the universe.

always have used Sandisk and always will since not once has an item of theirs let me down

Fantastic value for money. Yes it is made of plastic and yes it is super small however this in no way impares the quality of the product.

Great flash drive. Bought a few weeks ago to use in my car, looks great and a bargain at this price.
