A Must Have For Apple Lover

Ok, so the price tag may be a little off putting however this is a laptop killer by Apple right here...

I was lucky enough to get my iPad from New York on day of release but at least I can tell you some of the features before UK release.

People who say its just a big iPhone are mistaken, this is POLISHED.

You want to store all your iPhone pictures on your iPad? No problem it will also load a MAP of where all your photos are taken!

Most iPhone apps are functional on the iPad with the ability to x1 x2 visuals.

Email function has been upgraded with more functionality, also the on screen keyboard much more able to manage so thumbs wont accidently hit wrong letters! :)

The one thing I would recommend is if you want to use this on the move invest in the wi-fi & 3G version, as much as the 3G is the only extra it is a must for areas with out wi-fi...

 Top Product

I have just got hold of my 64GB WIFI version and I can tell readers that this is everything I hoped it would be. I have so far found no issues with WIFI signel loss (as reported elswhere) I also agree with the other reviewer if you are to use the iPad out and about then get the 3G version, but I didnt need 3G as this is a home product only so it will only used in areas where WIFI is.

The Screen is fantastic and Photos look stunning, even ones taken with duff compact digi cams. Movies also look stunning and compared to the iPhone screen surfing the net is a breeze and makes Apps dedicated to sites redundant (Play get an iPhone app out soon please).

Sound is pretty weak from the speakers and doesnt sound much better than the iPhone, but a good pair of Phones in and it rocks.

Its weighs a bit more than first thought it would and feels solid. The iPad is definatly a puchse worthy even with the high-ish price.

High price small memory and no flash otherise excellent.

If you can pay the high price and live without flash and a large memory for video and photos.
Then the ipad is excellent.
Little in the way of competition.
Best features are books apps and screen / interface.
Might be better to wait for the gen 2 version which will have camera and possibly flash which would make surfing perfection.
100pounds extra for the the 3g models looks a bit much.

Great Product - A Must Buy!

I've been using it for just over a week now, and have not once regretted buying it. People dub it "A Big iPod Touch". They're right, but that's the beauty of this product! - The larger screen real estate allows developers like myself to create much more immersive applications, and games are incredible on it. Youtube is a great experience on the iPad, and watching movies and TV Shows is equally as enjoyable.

Internet browsing has been faultless. I have never actually been to a website on my iPad that expects me to have flash to use all the content - Most websites now have converted their content to MP4 (Playable on the iPad), and with the new safari, the content plays inside the web browser - no need to use all the screen to watch it (although it is still possible to do so). The only problem I've had is that some websites haven't updated their sites to support iPad. For example, visiting a website can bring up the "iPhone" version of their website. This is the responsibility of the website owners, so this isn't a drawback of the iPad.

I've downloaded the iWork suite for iPad which works flawlessly, and the keyboard is really easy to type on!

32GB is plenty big enough for me, I've got pages of apps, 40 TV Shows and Movies, Only a few songs though (I haven't put my library on yet), and still yet to reach the 25GB left mark.

The actual capacity of the 32GB iPad is 29GB, leaving 3GB for system resources and software.

Wifi worked straight out of the box, although for improved Wi-Fi access, you may need to download the software updated through iTunes, as they have fixed some things with Wi-Fi disconnecting occasionally.

Otherwise, this product is one of the best Apple products I've ever owned - and beats a netbook hands down.

 very impresive

I picked up my iPad, pressed the menu button, typed in my passcode and went straight onto the net in about thirty seconds. That is what this is all about. No one is saying the iPad is a serious computer but it is a very slick net browser that can play music and films in good quality, carry your entire photo album around, read books and so. In a media hungry world Apple have created the best portable media device on the market. I convinced myself from all the reviews and the hype that I wouldn't want one but then I made the mistake of playing with one and desire quickly ruled out fiscal common sense. It is definitely a highly desirable toy and will probably introduce a whole lot more people to internet browsing. My wife has an MSI Wind notebook but she can't be bothered to use because she finds it too slow and is impatient but I suspect we'll be fighting over the iPad. If you're not sure if you want one then don't touch it because you'll soon be hooked
