I bought this to use with my Iomega Prestige 500gb ....
The HD does have "drop shock" built in but still was concerned about having an accident.
I ordered this because I expected good quality and design from Belkin. I was not disappointed. The case fits fairly well a tiny bit big. But does have a side pocket inside for the USB cable. The case is fairly padded but is not hard.
All in all for that little bit of added protection it is great, but I would go for something more heavy duty if my drive did not have the drop shock protection.
This case is just fit my WD hard drive. Good choice!
