5 Rev 2 so much easier to install than the 1st one!lkie1972 | 06/08/2010 | See all lkie1972's reviews (5)The Rev 2 version of this CPU fan is so much more easier to install than the 1st one, as the 1st used the infamous Intel "Twist and push" method to attach it to the motherboard. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to replace their stock cooling heatsink and fan. Cheap, easy to fit, and does the job well.
4 bad assembly of fangreentim | 18/01/2011 | See all greentim's reviews (2)good cooler ,however i spent a few hours messing in bios trying to get fan to spin.Turned out it was the fan that wasnt seated properly into its housing and needed a push into place for it to work.Poor manufacturing it seems to me,i spent hours looking up the problem ,looked into bios settings etc then found a post from someone who had the exact same problem. Was ready to return it till I found the problem, however im happy its now working as it should.
4 Good Cooler but bewarePcbuilder | 07/08/2010 | See all Pcbuilder's reviews (1)Hi all, well i bought this cooler as it has a good review on a few different sites. Well when i got it i thought it was very well made and it looks good if you like the style of it as i do, found a couple of little niggles with it unfortunately.Firstly there are four little pins that hold the rubber mounts for the fan and when i received my cooler one of them was broken, quite fragile little things but that did not deter me so i carried on to the installation.Well i found out that you are a very lucky person if you have a mini atx board and the cooler fits as mine didn't, it would have broken my ram ports if i forced it so i have kept it as i was intending on getting a normal atx board so it should be ok then.. Hope this helps.
4 Excellent fan, unbeatable priceWoolyFox | 01/07/2010 | See all WoolyFox's reviews (6)This CPU fan is at an excellent price and the build quality is also excellent. Installing the fan is a bit tricky if you have your PSU (power supply unit) and graphics card installed already. It comes with attachments for both AMD and Intel sockets and works very efficiently and silently. Overall supurb quality fan for a low price.
3 Dosent like GigaByte BoardsAlano24 | 13/01/2011 | See all Alano24's reviews (1)I bought a new Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 870 Socket AM3 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard and bought this cooler for my Oct core AM3 CPU, the fan casing from the cooler sits right on top of the 1st memory slot of the motherboard making it unusable, my workaround was to cut an inch away (not recommended but couldn't be bothered returning item) from the corner of the fan casing so it fits snug and my memory slots are not effected, will update the temps when I have the rig running for a few weeks
