Hewlett Packard (HP) V165 16GB USB Flash Drive

Mine has arrived, and didn't come with the lanyard even though advertised. No biggy.

The drive shows as having 14.8GB free space.

I've just finished testing mine using USBDeview for the synthetic read/write test, and DiskBench for the real life speeds. I've tested both using FAT32 and NTFS, performing each test 3 times for each format. The file for the DiskBench tests was 1.4GB in size.

Considering the manufacturer claims write speeds upto 9 MB/s and read speeds upto 30 MB/s, I don't think the write speeds are too bad! But the read speeds could be better :( Perhaps they will be for smaller files, I'll have to test further.

This is a nice memory stick, with a big capacity and a tiny physical footprint and a good price.

Performance seems good, I quite often get writes to it at around 12MB/s

Bought 2 and neither shipped with a lanyard - wrote to Play and they then supplied.

Ideal size for sticking in the back of a portable DVD player.

Formatted capacity for FAT32 is 14.9GB

So far so good. Excelent product also a very small design. Definitely recommend .

The smallest memory stick i've ever seen. Ideal for backing up a PS3 Slim and can be left attached permanently as it doesn't stick out from the console and won't be caught or knocked day to day.

I have recently bought 2 of these, one for a friend and one for myself.
The actual drive is fantastic. Very fast read/write speeds and everything you would expect from a pen drive.
My only issue is that the lid is already slightly loose, not enough so it falls off but it became noticeably loose after the first day or so.
It definitely wouldn't stop me buying more of these though.
