Where to start???? Well, I started my search for a wireless keyboard and mouse (although I wasn't that bother about having the mouse) about 2 months ago. I read plenty reviews but realized that unless I was willing to spend 40+ there was no chance I was going to get a decent product.
However I then noticed this set here in Play, however at the time it was only available for pre-order, i waited patiently until it was in stock and then placed my order. As always, the item arrived safely and securely within a couple of days - no gripes there!
The keyboard (and mouse) were incredibly easy to set up with my laptop, literally just a case of plug in the receiver and turn on the switches on the back of keyboard and bottom of the mouse and they were working without any problems.
I bought this for use on my sofa whilst my laptop is plugged into my TV - about 6m (15ft) apart, and it does the job perfectly. I can use my laptop and TV like a big desktop computer now without the hassle of wires.
The keyboard keys are very soft and easy to use, they have nice feeling when typing where the keys feel smooth but make that traditional clicky sound. It is also very compact, slightly smaller than a standard keyboard and very thin, which, for me at-least is perfect because I already have a lot clutter lying about.
The mouse I haven't used that often, i already had a decent wireless Bush mouse I paid 14.99 separately for, which I much prefer the look and feel of. However I did test the mouse (just incase i needed it as a spare) and personally didn't have a problems with it. However, I am used to my Bush mouse which is very sensitive and I feel the mouse in this is set is also very sensitive so that may be slightly annoying to some people - but as with all things you'll get used to is eventually.
The only thing that lets this item down is its aesthetic appearance, it is very plain and the mouse is exceptionally boring - i use the same mouse where i work (only difference is that my work is wired) and I swear they have had them since the 90's. However I am a sucker for shiny, or led-lit electronics so this is only a personal moan. Anybody who is not bothered by this shouldn't have any thing to complain about if they've bought this item.
Hope this review helps all you un-deciders out there!
