Been looking at some large scale storage for a while, ive had a few drives from some other brands and not always had a good experience, got this drive for some Photo and Video stuff ive accumulated and very pleased. Nicely designed, solid, just does exactly what it says on the tin. Massive storage at a very good price. Can recommend.
Well packaged (drives will stack, for example). Connectors seem secure and drives work well connected to the USB port of my Netgear NAS. Guide price at Dec 2010, 75 GBP from reputable online sellers. Don't pay more and bear in mind that 3 and 4 TB 3.5" drives are just around the corner.
for 100 pounds you can't go wrong with this 2TB external hard drive, its sound less and stores a lot and for the price that it was 94 pounds. just finished transferring my data on this as a back up from my 1TB toshiba external hard drive.
Fantastic external hard drive, Massive storage capacity for a small unit and a very good price. Not had one one problem with it at all.
This piece of kit is fantastic. Impressive Transfer Speeds and shows a total size of 1.81TB when formatted as an NTFS (as it came). Plenty of room for backups or simply storage of media files.
This is ALSO a very sturdy External Hard Drive as I accidentally tripped over the power cable and the Hard Drive fell a considerable distance and crashed on the floor. Expecting the worst, I booted it up and it still seems to be working now! Only downside I can think of is the lack of a power switch but this is no biggie to me as you simply Safely Remove and pull the plug out the back.
