2 Easy to use but WiFi is not fit for purpose at all locationsmisar1 | 03/04/2012 | See all misar1's reviews (1)I returned this Device as not fit for purpose because it cannot handle consistent WiFi operation in locations where there are significant signals from other routers nearby even when it is adjacent to the client PC with 100% signal. I used it at three locations where the 3G USB dongle works perfectly with a laptop. At one location the 3G-6200NL works fine, at the other two it cannot consistently maintain acceptable data transfer rates over a WiFi connection, with data transfer often at zero. The WiFi connection is maintained but even accessing its own web interface over WiFi becomes slow or impossible. In the "good" location there are no other detectable WiFi signals (using WirelessNetView on a laptop) but in the two poor locations there are 8 to 20, all with medium to high strength. Changing the WiFi channel manually from the default (11) to others with fewer signals made no difference but 3G via the router works fine in all locations if it is connected to a PC by LAN cable. I also used two ordinary (ADSL Internet) WiFi routers and a TL-MR3420 3G router in the two problem locations and they all give trouble free WiFi connections. On the positive side, I had no problems connecting to a laptop by LAN cable, upgrading the firmware to 1.06, and setting it up with my Sierra 889 3G dongle which was correctly identified with O2 settings. It also has a good web interface and I used this rather than the CDROM wizard for installation.
