took a little over three minutes to install and connect speakers,drivers self installed on win 7...sounds good enough for me, great price great sound......sweet

Recieved sound card today after being posted only 3 days earlier!
Great build quality, installed on a windows xp sp3 desktop and ran hardware wizard after popping in the driver cd recieved in the box.
Installed software like a dream and no need to even restart! Really good sound for price paid, good bass and top notes, numorous inputs and in brief, if your looking for a replacement PCI sound card, this fits the bill!

Arrived in the usual 5-days speedy delivery. Ordered this to replace my on-board sound card which was superb until it broke 8 years later but didn't want to spend loads of money.
Plugged in and ran harware wizard on WIN-XP 32bit SP3, drivers taken from supplied mini-CD. Worked first time and sound is brilliant for the price. Comes with Audio Deck utility which helps tailor the sound.
For the price you can't go wrong though.

Tested and working on both Windows XP 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit. Sound quality seems reasonable - clear but lacking bass (take this with a pinch of salt though, I am comparing to an old SB Live! Value through a pair of 2.0 Logitech Z520s).

If you're lazy you don't even need to put the included CD in to install the drivers, both XP and 7 can pull the drivers down from Windows Update automatically (via Device Manager), albeit slightly older drivers than that provided on the CD.

Chipset is the VIA Tremor (VT1723), a cut down version of Via Envy24 and has a VT1617a DAC.

All in all, a good buy for 6 quid.
