Yep it works for windows 7 too - no drivers even though the manufacturer told me it probably wouldn't. I have been told that the picture and sound quality is good from the other end. Not a bad little cam and certainly okay considering the price. LEDs are a bit of a gimmick though.

First off, this is a great webcam, 10megapixels for this price range is great, especially with the built in mic which is really sensitive.

However, it has many drawbacks:
No auto focus.
The zoom is awfull (Just enlarges image and crops edges, kills the quality)
The lights are useless and stay on even when the PC is off.

It is a good webcam, however auto focus would have been nice, and it's kinda a pretty standard feature.

Don't let these minor flaws put you off, it is by far a very good product, visually, it is great, amazing detail, the clip is extremely strong, even with my tiny flatscreen it stays there tight and is fully adjustable if you want to just leave it on the desk.

Also, please note, that while it says 'driver free' it comes with drivers on a mini-Disk, which take all of 1 minute to install, and it happily works on my Windows 7 64bit after installing it. (Mini-Disks fit all regular normal sized disk drives)

Anyway, yeah, great product, a few limitations, but for this price, it's gold.

Excellent value webcam for the price.

I was looking for a relatively cheap webcam with an incorporated microphone for my laptop and which did not need a separate 3.5mm cable in addition to the usual USB. This device seemed suitable and does not disappoint. The build quality is excellent and the whole device feels solid and secure when clipped to the laptop lid. Installation was quick and easy (no additional drivers or software were needed on my Vista 32 bit system so I presume this will be true of XP and Windows 7 as well). The image quality is fully acceptable as is the sound although some background hum can be heard if the volume level is set too high. Focussing is achieved by rotating the lens unit manually. The LED lights are fully automatic but will only come on in very low light and are only just able to illuminate a face within a 2 to 3 foot range. The ball joint mechanism for rotating/angling the camera is sufficiently sturdy to hold the camera in position and should be resistant to wear and damage. The addition of a small platic lens cap is useful for protecting the lens when the camera is not in use. The camera was supplied complete with a small installation CD but mine was detected by my laptop as a blank CD-R. However, since I did not need extra drivers this was not a problem. I did contact the seller who responded extremely quickly with details of their support website from which I downloaded the CD content.

Overall this webcam is excellent value for money and the seller's customer service was first class. Highly recommended.
