I bought the kit to connect my new Panasonic TV to my router to be able to use the Viera Connect facilities and also to implement the Media Server function. In less than 5 minutes from opening the box the device was in use. To set the passwords was a little bit more tricky but the TP-Link web site has the necessary easy to follow guide.

My two devices are on different floors but on the same ring. Each device is plugged into an extension lead without apparent signal loss.

Works a treat. Fast enough to stream HD BBC iPlayer without problems.

I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to install a network connection without the hassle of installing new cables and for whom a wireless solution is not viable.

Having suffered at the varying speeds offered by a wireless connection to my playstation 3 I decided to explore alternatives. I first ran a number of download speed tests through the "internet connection test" on the PS3; wireless connection gave average speeds of 2.5Mbs (over 10 tests) and a wired connection (LAN cable straight from router into PS3) gave average speeds of 4.5Mbs (also over 10 tests). Unfortunately for me my router is upstairs and the PS3 downstairs and i really didn't fancy trying to run a 10m LAN cable down the stairs and around door frames etc... It was in my quest to gain LAN cable speeds i found this product. Bought last Thursday (13th Oct) and delivered yesterday (18th Oct) i was up and running within 2 minutes of opening the box. Following several download speed tests i was delighted to discover this little wonder of technology offered me exactly the same speed as a wired connection and I am now enjoying the spoils of a consistent download speed of 4.5Mbs (a further 10 tests). Incidentally the upload speed also improved over the wireless connection - particularly useful for those who play online.

Other point to note is that i have used mains socket (recommended) for both homeplugs.

After trying for some time to connect a range extender, without success, I spotted this product and decided to try it.
It arrived today and I plugged one into my router and the other into my desktop computer that had no signal at all. It took about a minute to set up the connection automatically and the speed and connection on my desktop is amazing.
This even works brilliantly with extension leads. I have the main plugged into one next to my modem and the one that powers my desktop is even plugged into a surge protected one and works without problem. I'm now going to buy another for my daughter's room.
Very impressed. Great product and stress free connection.

Bought this as I had poor wifi signal in my upstairs room. It gives me 30mb download speeds the same as plugging directly into a router. I also have a shed at the end of my garden and it let's me have Internet there which is 60 meters from the house. Very good product.

I had an N spec router downstairs which gave me a signal throughout the house, and out into the garden, but my problem was that the router couldn't move plus neither could my main PC upstairs - so unfortunately I was stuck with a weaker signal in the room I needed it most!
Then I saw these little beauties!
It really is as easy as it sounds, connect the modem to one plug, then pop into the mains. At the computer, connect to the other plug and then into the mains. Press the 'sync' button on one plug, do the same on the other, and within a minute the plugs have synced and you have a rapid connection (as fast as your incoming broadband is!).
I decided to go from the tp plug - router - pc just to give me a wee bit of extra security (with the router firewall) and also keep my wireless signal available if needed. A direct ethernet connection from the router to the pc of course keeps the speed as high as possible.
As far as my computer goes, and home entertainment etc, this is by far the best use of 35 quid !!
Now I know I can add more of these wherever I want them about the house and it will all just 'work'.
