Bought this drive to upgrade my laptop HP G6-1012sa.
I checked for Bluray compatability before I bought it (HDCP and compatable graphics card)
Installation was easy, a few screws to remove the bottom cover, one screw to remove the drive. Swap the fronts job done.
Bluray playback is flawless and I can now copy my movies/photos onto a Bluray disk as backup.
It also reads all my dvds and of course it will burn them too.
I was a bit concerned when it arrived in just a jiffy bag, but it was undamaged.
I highly recommend this drive for adding bluray playback to your laptop after you have checked it can play them!
