  Not compatible with Windows 7

| | See all Jargey's reviews (2)

Whilst it says that it requires Windows 2000, XP and Vista - I assumed this would mean that it would also be compatible with Windows 7 which unfortunately was not the case.

I only wish this was made more obvious before I made my purchase.

  Very good for the price

Well packaged, comes with CD with software.
I needed to buy 2 cables, !) avi to phono adapter to convert into the mic socket on the PC.
2) S-Video to S-video to connect to the Sony Camcorder.
Both found on here and a popular auction site for a couple of quid.

The one I bought was faulty no not had the sound working, the seller agreed to replace the item.
The software is easy to use and picture is clear and crisp from my old Digital 8 Sony Camcorder and was able to record with ease.

Looking forward to getting the new device and converting many hours of old taped home videos into digital.

First off there is a couple of things you need to know about this product

1. This is the EasyCap DC60. Not the DC60plus.
This means that you will only be able to get black and white from your xbox.

2. The software that comes with it is ok but not great. For Mac i'd recommend Videoglide and for Windows i'd say try AmCap

3. If you are wanting to record gameplay from xbox then you will be wanting to invest in splitters and an AV to AV cable (red, white, yellow) but as an alternative you can pick up the component cable for xbox that has blue, green, yellow, white and red x 2.

4. Depending on the quality you are looking for and how much you are recording i'd recommend investing in an external HDD cause it can eat up memory like nobodies business.

With that out the way i'd like to say that i have had the model up from this for about a year now and it hasnt let me down. It may be just regular scart but you can get really good quality if you play with the settings and the resolution at what you record. There is plenty of tutorials on youtube if you get stuck or want to see a setup so you know whats going on.

Okay what you do is download software on your computer with the disk or without a diskdrive you will find software on the internet....next you put the easycap in the usb on your computer..put the male pins from the av wire on your ps2/3 and then from there attach three splitters, and then from there use two female av double sided wires and then attach the pins each to the capture card and the other three pins to your tv.
