This unit is simply awesome. I know that some other reviews talks about SOME of the dials not having any functions, but let's face it, it's a replica of the original Ferrari wheel, what were they supposed to do, leave the lot blank? Besides, if you play F1 games, and you should, the DRS, KERS, pit limiter, and differential mini-wheels are absolutel perfect! Waaaay better than the original T500RS wheel.
In terms of performance, which should be the core of any review, it is simply amazing. Having owned many Logitech wheels I can honestly say that the T500RS is simply incredible. You can feel the car's grip through your fingers and predict spins just like in a real car. You have to try it to believe it. Pedal solid as ...steel, so you never have to worry about getting too excited and use full strenght on them.
I was able to improve my lap times on the Monaco, Melbourne, SPA and Interlagos (my favourite tracks) by over two seconds just by switching to this wheel. And believe me, that's a lot.
As for the fan noise, well, when you have 5.1 surround blasting through the house and the engines noises are enough to make you feel you're racing for real, who would pick on the fan? Seriously. In any case, I don't find it loud at all,
If serious about racing, get GT5, F1 2013, Dirt 3, iRacing and rFactor 2. Add the Thrustmaster T500 RS.......and.......you'll need friends and family to come check you're still alive because you ain't going to leave the house ever again!!!!
