The Microsoft Lifecam VX1000 truly is a lovely little camera. It's very well priced, the video quality is very good (maximum resolution of 640 x 480), has clear, clarified sound from the built-in microphone, and is very small and neat.

Having just receieved it today, and have used it for only a couple of hours, I am convinced enough to give this electronic gem 5 stars.
There is, as you may know, a button on the top of the camera, which when pressed will bring up the Windows Live Messenger sign-in window (if the program is not already running), and when signed-in will allow you to initiate a Video Call with a contact on your list. A handy little feature, I must say.

The only thing I don't like, but it still doesn't really mar the product, is the base that detaches from itself and that's *supposed* to be able to attach to flat-screen monitors and the like. Generally speaking now - for £14.99 you really can't go wrong with this thing; it really is a class act altogether. Of course, there's the old adage 'You get what you pay for' - but for just under fifteen quid it really is a bargain, and I can guarantee that it will be one of the best deals you'll ever get on Play.com
