Got this mouse to go with a new PC build. Have been using a tiny laptop mouse for a year and in comparison this mouse is wonderful! Doesn't ever float off screen randomly like my old one used to and is very acurate and easy to use. It's not a huge mouse, just right and is comfortable to use. The scrolling wheel is almost silent which is a plus. Can't fault it really. Recommended!
This mouse is a quality, affordable mouse. It reacts fast and is extremely comfortable to hold. I've read some reviews from people saying that they hit the buttons on the side all the time by accident but i haven't had this problem... Each to their own i guess. The mouse also has a dpi of 800. It took me ages to find this out so i'm putting it here so you know. It's not quite a five star as there are better ones - but for the price its a good buy.
I do a lot of graphic design and photo editing on my system (no games). I bought the MX400 because I thought the programmable buttons would be useful to me, but I find the pointer movements are way too sensitive. Despite trying all the options in the SetPoint software, I cannot find a setting that allows me to scroll from one side of the screen to the other in one movement without the fine positioning being jittery and over sensitive. If I slow the fine movement down I then cannot scroll across the screen without lifting and repositioning the mouse. Logitech support have been very helpful but they have not come up with answer to this. All I'm looking for is the same movement as my Logitech basic optical mouse plus the programmable buttons.
This might be good for playing games, but for now I've forgone the programmable buttons and gone back to my basic Logitech optical mouse which has exactly the movement and control I need.
Purchased one of these to replace my old Logitech Optical Mouse. My old one was no good for photoshop as it was not sensitive enough. This one is as sensitive as can be!
For the price you really cant go wrong, it fits my hand nice, and is a really nice mouse to use. I would recommend it =] (One of my mates has already got me to order them one to replace their expensive gaming mouse!)
After years of using ball mice, this laser mouse has completely changed the way I look at a computer. It's smooth and very accurate, and also very comfortable to hold. My hands aren't very big or very small and it fits perfectly. People with smaller hands may find it less comfortable, as the mouse is quite large. It looks good and the shape is very well designed. The side buttons do need a little getting used to. There is only one negative thing that i have found, which is that there isn't actually a middle mouse button. When you do press down on the wheel, it acts as a scrolling thing e.g. in the internet browser. But I haven't gotten it to work as a normal middle mouse button. But I found a way around this by changing the "forward" button on the side of the mouse to middle click, very easily with the Setpoint software, and I very rarely press forward in the internet browser, so it isn't a real loss.
EDIT: This mouse is so good I bought another one for my cousin has he said he liked it too.
