I thought i killed my dell inspriron 1501 with these cheap kingstons, but i was wrong! I just needed to discharge the laptop ( by pressing the on button with battery or a/c charger taken out, for 15+ seconds). Vista home premium works wonders now. Thanks again play.com!

Couldn't be more happy. Just removed my old ram put in 2 of these and noticed the difference straight away.
P.s make sure when looking for ram that you check which type you have in you computer and what the maximum ram you motherboard can handel . For example it is eg. A (ddr2) and how many mhz it is eg (667)
