I have four different LCD monitors, and I have to say this is the only one that I actually regret buying. While I suppose it is good for the money, there are other monitors that are better for the same money.
The main complaint with the monitor is the colour balance. There is a strong overall blue cast to the picture, something that Samsung seem to have tried to calibrate out by increasing the green colour control. Problem is that simple colour controls aren't good enough. It only upsets everything else. Lucky for me, I have a calibration kit and managed to create a gamma profile that sort of corrected the problem. The calibration kit cost £150 though. Unless you already have one, I would certainly give this monitor a miss. In fact, even if you do, unless you have some other really strong reason why you want this particular monitor, then I would give it a miss. Buy something with better colour rendition.
There is also some smearing of the image so it may well be a 2ms, but… more »
