I bought one of these memory sticks about 2 yrs ago. I do admit i have had the occcassional strop and thrown it at someone or across the room but considering that it's still in fantastic working order and runs with speed. It has never failed on me and I would never buy a flash drive from anywhere else, I'm converted! You have truely outdone yourself Play Well Done!

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Fantastic *EDIT**

After having this flashdrive now for about 3 months, it's finally broken, but this doesnt damage its 4 star rating at all,
because i've sat on it on a daily bases, dropped it out of my window, used it as office weaponry and once attempeted to play keepy uppies with it outside, this memory stick serve's a very valid purpose, cheap and fairly rugged, bravo play

I bought one of these 8GB usb flash drives last year as opposed to one of the more well known brands - and had no problems at all with it. I've used it for storing photos mainly and will be buying another to store music.
I'd definitely recommend this product :)

I bought the 4gb drive about 18 months ago (£16.99 then!), I've had it on my keyring ever since, and apart from looking very worn, it is still working. The clips breaks every now and again, but a bit of superglue sorts that out.

I've bought three or four of these play.com drives since then, and never had any problems with any of them.

When Windows/Mac measures a disk, it uses 1024 bytes per kB, 1024 kB per MB, 1024 MB per GB.

In the specs for storage, 1000 is always used.

So a 1GB file = 1,073,741,824 bytes
But a 1GB pen = 1,000,000,000 bytes

So 1GB of storage actually fits about 0.93GB of data.
When you add in the file system too, then its reduced even more

So 8GB storage (8 GB) fits 7.45 GB of data.

Bought this a few months ago, worked as expected, but was inspired to write this review when I accidentally put it through the washing machine and tumble dryer, and it came out intact with all my data still on it.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars fully recommend it 6 out of 5*

However, its a big let down that rip u off abit, false advertising in my opinion, the title of the product is 8gb memory stick, on the actual product it says "8gb" but however, it actually has a capacity size of 7.54gb, not the biggest let down in life, but i think its very cheeky, to rip u off 460mb.
