  WOW... Very Fast.

This thing is crazy fast. I have two of the 8gb ones from a few years ago. They kinda let me write to them at about 8000kbytes/s. This thing when I throw 300mb files at it moves them at 18500kbytes/s. I can't get a reading for my mp3s because it's going that fast I can't read what it says. I'm reading 300mb files at 32850kbytes/s from the stick to my hd.

I ordered this last night about 5:00 and it was delivered this morning about 10:30, so that was crazy speed too.

There are a lot of fake Corsair USB pendrives about so I checked on their web site. Play.com is listed as a supplier, so you can buy with confidence. I don't really need another one, but I may just get another for the sake of it.

The guy above getting 4.3 k speeds must be doing something wrong or it's faulty because that's half the speed of my old ones. Maybe he has it connected to USB1 instead of USB2.

Very Very recommended.

Flipping quick and tough as nails

Although not as fast as the corsair flagship "GT" range this usb drive is very quick. Beats any Sandisk drive hands down. Get about 7-10mb/s read/write speed from it. Dropped it more times than I can remember, used it as ReadyBoost. Used it on a bunch of PCs and Macs and never had a problem with it. Highly recommend it. In contrast I had major issues with some chineese ones with brands I never heard off which died after a month of my usual use and sandisk ones were way too slow and tried to run it's build in software everytime I connected it which was also annoying (yes I tried formating it and the software still remained).

  Excellent Piece of kit

@Tovsergo: Better performance with larger files is the same for anything. E.g. Windows will copy one big file a lot faster than multiple small files.

Can't fault this drive at all. Accidently dropped it down a 40 story flight of stairs and it still worked.

  Really good product

I bought this on my first pay check in February 2008 for college usage. This thing has never let me down. Due to the rubber casing on the outside it makes this product: Durable, Reliable and most of all fast enough irrespective of what anyone else says. This thing is made for purpose and that purpose is simply fulfilled. Although I'd reccommend buying the 8GB as it's significantly cheaper

  16 mb Corsair is SLOW!

Hi there,
irrespective of what these guys tell you on line or on the box, here is the real data:
it writes at 4.3 mb/sec on average.
This is pathetic given that the 3-y old Kingston Elite 2GB does at least 8 and some modern ones give even more.
It seems to struggle with the FAT (or whatever takes place of it) as it does not like many small files, handles long ones much faster. Shame, as otherwise it could be a cool gadget.
