Corsair Power supplies are manufactured by Seasonic- one of the best companies that currently make PSU's. These Corsair 450W variants are based off Seasonic's fantastically stable 430W, but are a newer revision as it were. The design uses only a single 12v rail at 33A peak power. However unlike other manufactures this is actually pretty damn correct, not merely a hopeful piece of fiction. For most mid-range dual-core PC's this will be more than sufficient and will probably allow you an 8800GT if you're not too taxing with any processor overclocks.
This is an amazing PSU for the money. Comes packaged in a cloth bag complete with mounting screws, cable ties and a case badge. The PSU is extremely quiet, stable and very well made. The cables are a little long for a Micro ATX case so remember to keep the rubber strap securing the PSU cables in the box so you can tie off the remaining loom of wires you won't use as it's too large for cable ties.
Nice quality unit with excellent components, very quiet. Comes with a 24-pin power cable which you can detach the extra 4-pin to use on on 20-pin motherboards like mine, ( Asrock 775 Dual-VSTA), dont forget to check before fitting there is a capacitor fitted near to the socket which could be damaged if you dont check. I got this when my old power supply stopped working as i like corsair stuff, my pc boots up faster with this in so can it be giving my pc the power it needs were the old one did not?
