While I didn;t actually buy my laptop from play, I can still write a review and help all of those who need a bit to read

;)

Righto, this is a pretty good laptop with decent specs for the price. The layout of the keys is good, and there are plenty of little buttons on the side that are very useful (such as media buttons, bluetooth and an email shortcut). I'm actually writing this review on it right now, and the keyboard is flawless and easy to get used to, which is a problem I suffer from with other laptops. It also features a volume spinwheel at the front, which is a nifty little benefit as you don't have to faff with the function key while trying to find the right volume button.
It features hi-def surround sound (inclusing a subwoofer), which does sound very good for a laptop. The screen is bright and clear, and the webcam is actually very, very clear for a 0.3MP camera. The built in wireless is flawless, and I was onto my network in a mere few seconds. It also has four USB slots and an 8in1 card reader that comes in very useful if you're into a bit of photography.

: )

As for Vista and the pre-loaded programs, they all run very smoothly and the laptop itself is quite fast. It comes with quite a few programs (mainly games) that probably wont interest you, but these are very easy to remove. Vista itself is a very nice looking OS and feels quite homely after a few hours use and you'll soon find yourself surfing the internet or playing chess with great ease

: )

Overall, a very good and nice looking laptop that comes highly reccomended by both me and various other award giving parties (see above)

I ordered this laptop and have only had it for three days but it is fantastic!

It runs all programs extremely quickly and smoothly and the buil-in webcam is crystal clear. I find the fragmented hard-drive a useful idea and the acer arcade is great for those who are interested in media. Vista is also brilliant, like the Acer it is easy to navigate.

For me it is a fantastic machine, simply a must-have!

I bought the Acer Apsire 5920 just over a week ago, it has changed my life.

I was a little confused by the Partitioned hard drive (That's 2 hard drives with 1/2 the size) but i now find that more beneficial.

I've been able to install and run any application known to man, the very latest of everything including photoshop can be installed, it's perfect for graphics users.

The applications i've installed totally zoom with the 2gb of RAM, the audio is fantastic even at half volume and very clear.

What amazes me most is the new Crystal Eye feature for chatting online, i expected the camera to be of poor quality since it's only 0.3mp in size but then i ran it, it's exactly as it the name suggests, Crystal Clear, and another thing that surprised me was the built in microphone, i had no idea it was there till yesterday and even that is amazing.

the difference between Windows XP and Vista is phenomenal, everything is more beautiful to look at.

The unfortunates are that it doesnt seem to want to properly run my downloaded anime, it only comes up with audio, this is perhaps because the file is too complex for it, but every other video, music and DVD i play works fine.

I'm not that fond of the battery life since it seems to differ depending on what i'm running but that's no reason to take away a star. also because of it's sleek black base, it tends to gather dust and generate finger marks more easily but at least that's not the part your trying to view.

I really suggest buying this, the price you pay is really a bargain for something of this much quality, your not just getting a laptop when you buy this, it's more like an extension of yourself.
