Bought this on the back of many positive reviews and i am not disappointed. The Razor is its competitor but at the time was more money. Anyway apart from some of the rubber feel coating wearing off where my thumb is i can't fault it. Been faultless, way better than an ordinary mouse, i use a Razor gaming mat which helps the smooth movement.
Overall i've spent maybe 1000 hours gaming with this on COD, Battlefields Bad Company 2 and Team Fortress2 amoungst other games and its been fantastic. Def worth the money. Sizewise it is big but i don't find any problem with that, if it broke i would almost certainly go and buy another.

  RSI in the making.

First impressions:

Huge! Not for someone who likes to hold the mouse with fingertips instead of using whole palm, however comfortable if you do like to rest your arm on the mouse.

Rubbery finish on the sides feels nice and the side buttons are in good position (easy to access and not in the way)

Scroll feels awful, it has clicks which are useful, but they tend to stick and it feels like something is grinding in there, maybe it will wear in but I'm not sticking around to find out.

Large feet, but for some reason not as slippy on my gaming mat as other mice with large feet.

Cable is too thick and stiff, it actually moves the mouse if I let it go on the mat. lol not good at all.

Software:
Easy, quick installation, not much to set up unless you are after something in particular. Simple to set up custom DPI settings.

Using it:
Now this is where it really lost it's stars. I can't quite put my finger on what exactly was wrong with it but it felt completely different from any other mouse i have used, tweaked the setting several times and decided I just need to get use to it as it did track the movement very precisely with no jumping etc.

In game:
BFBC2, I found myself switching between the DPI setting back and forward as it never felt right and my wrist started to feel stiff from extra strain from trying to keep my aim steady.

Summary:
After two days of use it goes straight on my shelf as a backup mouse. It might be good for rpg's and point and click games but not FPS in my opinion so look somewhere else, I'm getting another Logitech RX1000 as I had it before (broke after one year) and it just felt natural, the 1000dpi laser tracking was more than adequate for anything out there as well.

  Great mouse, very comfortable

Got this mouse today and it is really comfortable. The mouse itself is big but I like it as it fits well into my hand. The buttons are very easy to customize using the Setpoint software supplied with the mouse. The high dpi setting definitely makes a huge improvement when gaming.

In general a very good product and I would highly recommend it.

My old MX500 is 6 years old and still going strong after years of CS, TF2, L4D and now DOTA. I had a more expensive Razor for a while and returned it, Logitech rules!

  Excellent gaming mouse!

After researching around for a new gaming mouse alot of recommendations came for this mouse, so I decided to buy this and wow... it is amazing!

The mouse is very comfortable to handle and interchangeable DPI settings is valueable for FPS sniping zoomed and unzoomed and can be changed using the software provided. Tracking is very smooth and accurate, with a very reasonable price.

Although, this mouse is best used with a decent cloth mouse mat, as the feet can scratch fairly easily on a bare wooden surface. The mouse build quality itself is exceptional though.

  The only mouse...

I love this mouse so much I have just purchased my second one. I bought the first nearly 4 years ago and it only recently started to die. It is a nice large size and is comfortable and very precise when gaming. The side buttons are an excellent addition for in-game actions. Rated 4 stars due to top logo fading with use, no weight changing and you need to purchase extra mouse feet to get the smoothest use.

I like this mouse so much I'm on my 3rd one.

I've owned 3 of these and have never had a problem with it until it dies witch all mice do especially when you use it as much as I do. Most mice only last a year, all three of these have lasted at lease 2 years and the current one will be 3 this June.

1600dpi setting is just perfect for when I'm playing FPS's and the ability to switch it right down to a very low dpi makes it perfect for some fine brush work in Photoshop. As for some one saying the rubber peals off, its never happened to any of the three that I owned.

The Ultimate gaming mouse!!!

  Flimsy scroll

having to buy a third now, scroll button keeps breaking, probably stupid that i'm still buying it, but nothing tops it at price, and it's the only mouse i can use when gaming, nothing else fits.

Despite initial problems with delivery, this mouse is

the best thing my hands have ever graced so far. I have quite small hands and it fits perfectly around them. If you're male and have average/below average hands or you're a woman this mouse is right for you.

As you know, the sensitivity options are versitile and enough for this generation of gaming so I won't repeat this.
