Acer P193W Crystalbrite / 19 inch Widescreen LCD Monitor / Piano Black

This is a great display. My company sells our own Custom PC systems and we've shifted bucket loads of Acer displays with them.

We've always had a soft spot for the AL2051W - Great monitor, but a great price too, but you get what you pay for - 1680*1050 with Super High Contrast and Brightness and that Sony X-Black wannabe finish.

This is it's baby brother, complete with baby price tag! In terms of a display, it's fantastic for most people who use their PC for anything above Word & Internet Explorer. Crisp colours for photo editing, 2ms refresh for superb video playback, great for gaming - I had fun with my test model today, fired up Unreal Tournament, looked gorgeous.

HOWEVER, it is Analogue VGA D-Sub only with NO speakers. Most people won't care about the lack of naff noisemakers, but you might need to note the lack of DVI if you wer planning on connecting from a HDCP source via a HDMI-DVI converter for instance - NO can do.

For anyone after a good looking, superb value for money display, without bells and whistles, look no further.

I was really sceptical about this monitor because of the low price but my word, it is amazing! I've literally just hooked it up now, haven't changed any settings apart from to change to 1440x900 and it is just spot on. There are no problems at all. Very bright, very clear, looks brilliant as a whole. Another good thing, absolutely no backlight bleeding around the edges, I really can't fault this monitor. I would definitely recommend this monitor. I have seen many monitors twice the price of this and I really can't see the difference.

absolutely unbelieveable delivery on this item ordered 8pm Saturday came by 11am Monday. Took just a few minutes to set had to change resolution settings with the old monitor before it worked. Lovely colours and man the screen is big now and at this price it beats everyone else.

I ordered this Sunday night, first thing Tuesday morning it arrived.
My old ( not that old 12month ) is a 17ins Digimate which if i may say is a good little monitor, ( after they sent it back broke after 8month ) but when i pulled this from the box it shouts plug me in and lets go. ( it did'nt really say that, but you know what i mean )
All the instructions come on a disk which doe'nt really tell you much, but theres not much to tell. I just unplugged my old moniter, and plugged in my new Acer and WHAM! of it went. No fussy set up just plug and play, as easy as that.
Now comes the expensive part ( not for you i've just done it ) trying to register this moniter with Acer was hair pulling out time. I tried everything and no joy. So then i decided to ring them, HA!!!! what a waste of time that was, after getting through to a real person, and many minutes ( 50p a minute ) later, i explained that i could not register my monitor, this nice young man on the other end of the phone says, thats ok theirs no need to register just keep your receipts as proof of date of purches, and you have 3 years warrenty no need to worry.
So their you go if you want a great monitor at a great price then you should buy this. Its a great looking monitor so you cant go far wrong.

Monitor took two days from order to receipt which I consider to be excellent.

Classy item and worth every penny representing very good value for money. Reviews on this monitor have been glowing and I can see why. Set up takes minutes, it delivers high quality graphics and looks great. If you're looking to upgrade unless you're going right to the top of the range you won't do better.
