I've installed it, and XP detects it as a DVD-RAM drive, but Nero won't drive to a DVD-R drive, despite the drive being labelled as a "Multi Recorder" and Play advertising it as a drive that writes to a multitude of DVD formats. What am I doing wrong?
Excellent value though - I can't find a DVD-Rom any cheaper, which this is replacing anyway!

Bought this to replace mine as it would burn my CD's anymore, thought it would a nightmare to install, plugged in the 2 cables and bingo, now we it and running! no software disk needed!

Taking me 2-3 hours to burn a video dvd but only mins to transfer raw data. using dvd+16X anyone got any answers never used a burner before. cheers ta

Plugged it in to my aging desktop pc and have kicked it into now! Great little drive, Plays everything on DVD basically.
Burn time significantly quicker than old drive. Not a noisy drive. Very impressed! Get one, sit back and smile. 10/10!!

After buying a Liteon DVD burner before I must say I was not disappointed with this product actually I was very impressed to say the least. Like all DVD/CD Drives it was easy to install, just open the case and plonk it in add all the leads and your done (just incase you never done it before). You don't even have to install anything to windows.
It does come with Nero but in own personal opinion there are much better products out there but still its ok.
I tested burning all my pictures and home videos which come to 4.7gig and it burnt it in 6 mins before I had a x8 burner and 4.7 gig would take 45mins. So as you can tell it is a fast burner.
I would recommend this DVD burner to anyone and for £15.99 with free delivery it's a must

Plugged it in, installed cd, job done. Works perfectly, no problems so far ...
bought one of these for my dad to replace his old DVD rom. £16.99 for the fastest internal DVD burner on the market was a real shock as i expected to be paying at least £25-30!!!! this product comes with software aswell so setup and usage was a doddle for him. another cracking deal. cheers
