Got this card as an upgrade from a X1950 pro 512mb and the performance difference is well noticable.
The only gripe i have is that the card i received is a single slot version and not the the dual one that is pictured in the ad. Not a bad thing really though it could be annoying to some people.
All in all a great card and at a fair price; delivered very quickly so, Well done Play.com
Excellent Gaming

Switch on PC and your new card does a POST test like a taxing jumbo jet, then...... quiet. The card frequently heats up to over 85 degrees and although overclockable cooling is definatly an issue to avoid instability. Gaming is much better than expected with a card in this price range, I ran DX10 games such as Lost Planet quite well although not in the league of the more expensive Geforce 8800 cards.
Overall the 3870 is a quiet, overclockable, fast and cheap card that plays DX10 and HD well. Great value for money!
THIS CARD ROCKS!!!!!!!

It has to be said this card is an overclocking monster! I've managed to get it to 877MHz Clock and 2600MHz Memory. It plays Crysis with most settings on High, and Gears of War with all options maxxed out. This is, however, only acheivable with a bios update. My one gripe with this card is the fan, looks like ATI have gone for a quiet Vs cool approach and this card does get HOT! Upwards of 90Degrees when pushed, this can lead to some instability. You can use Rivatuner to manually adjust the fan so it stays cooler, now it doesnt go above 65Degrees with the fan at 50% and is very stable. Hopefully there will be a bios update that sorts out the fan problem. All in all a GREAT product for the money ^_^
