steelseries ikari laser, best gaming mouse..?
i was pleasantly surprised after using this mouse for a few days.. at first i thought this was an over-hyped mouse and i wasn't expecting it to deliver to be honest. but after using it for a few days i am glad i gave this little beast a chance, as it is now my new favourite gaming mouse.
my previous gaming mouse was the razer deathadder which was a very good mouse and still is, but now i have to make room for a newcomer for my gaming set up.
first of all this mouse is the most comfortable mouse i have ever held, the mouse has a rubbery/matte finish that works as anti-sweat and it certainly does its job. after hours and hours of game play, my hands never once felt in pain or aching.
the laser grade gaming sensor is easily the most accurate and precise out there. i didn't get no skipping or negative acceleration problems at all. the lift-off distance is very small, so small that you don't ever notice it and it never tracks when you lift your mouse off the mouse mat.
it didn't take me that long to get used to the mouse, in fact as soon as i plugged it in and turned on counter strike 1.6 i was getting headshots left right and center.
to all those like me who are curious about this mouse, believe me this beast delivers what it has promised to deliver. i opted for the laser version even though the optical was supposedly made for fps games, because i am a high or medium sensitivity player and because i wanted the ability to customise my cpi to the max, and only the laser version allows that.
i have heard about lift-off problems with 'optical' version, so i can understand why a lot of people may be put off. for fps gamers out there i would highly recommend this mouse the 'laser' version.
i have to say thank you to steelseries for doing a great job with this piece of gaming peripheral.
