This is a very poor product, i have 8meg connection with sky and my average speed is always around the 6-7 meg but this device was terrible. It was slower than dial up, in fact the only page that it loaded was google. Websites such as yahoo and bbc were taking so long, i decided to quit.
It also took very long to get it to connect, it took several attempts before it finally connected to my network even though my security key was inserted correctly.
The manual was on the cd and it didn't even say it supported vista but it did have a driver for vista which i installed. My pc is also brand new intel quad core. I will not be opting for cheap products again. Very dissapointed customer.
The Best

This wireless adapter works a treat for practically everything, file transfers, media streaming and web browsing, for this price who wouldnt buy, exellent buy!!!! Setup time is virtually nil!!! I do sugest to use the SWEEX utility rather than windows wireless configuration as you can scan and setup non-bradcasting SSID's for better security!
for the money... superb

I bought this wireless usb over three months ago, to link up my pc in the spare room with thehub in the living room. I cant imagine you'll find better for the money. This piece of kit weighs in at under a tenner, and while it very occasionally needs to be reinstalled, and on a rare bad day makes surfing the internet laboriously unsurfable, I know what I'm getting for my money: Ridiculously cheap wireless connectivity for my old xp pc. Bear in mind your spec will play a large part in how well the sweex performs, on the whole you shouldnt have any problems at all. And while we're in a credit crunch I can't recommend this little product highly enough. This is though just my opinion based soley on my experience with the sweex usb adapter over the last 3 months, and I've had minimal problems.
better than a 30pounds lan usb adapter

It works very well but if you have limited space on your usb ports then this is quite large and will block its adjacent ports.
EASY!!!

Bought new pc so gave the old one to my son.........he needed internet , we have wireless so bought this and i think it took longer to open the box than get it up and running. Fool proof !!!! Recommended, not had any problems at all with connection, my son paid £30 for a similar item !!
Its ok just for web browsing

Right ok this adapter is ok for short term web browsing, i have bought two of these for different pcs and they both tend to overheat and drop the connection every so offen.
I suppose you wouldn't notice if you have 1mbit connection but i have 10mbit and i can only get 6mbit on average through this adapter.
I swopped this for an internal pci wireless and i can now get my 10mbit without the connection dropping.
The software is aweful, avoid, the drivers for vista are also dodgy i would advise getting them off the net.
Superb for Virgin Media

Up and running with Vista / Virgin Media broadband in a couple of minutes. Connected the adaptor to a usb port and then let Vista do the rest. Insert cd when prompted and that is it. Briliant for 10 quid.
Excellent product!
