After a few heart-in-mouth moments (caused entirely by my ham-fisted incompetence - the software knew exactly what it was doing...) I am now wearing a BIG smile because I have a WIRELESS connection to my back bedroom study instead of a 15 metre cable!! I really had begun to despair of ever hooking my Vista desktop up to the Net, having read review after review of scores of usb adapters that all warned "doesn't work with Vista". Well this little gem does! As other reviewers have suggested I just plugged in the hardware BEFORE inserting the cd and let Windows conduct the installation. Select your wireless network, type in your security key and you're away. Now whether this initial euphoria will last remains to be seen as the coming weeks and months test the staying power of my little usb friend, but assuming the smoothness and speed of connection do not waver I can see myself recommending the Sweex LW053 as an absolutely CRACKING BARGAIN and a must for exasperated Vista users. One very Happy Customer!!!
Superb

Fantastic piece of kit, very easy to set up and I get a better signal than two other adapters I have from well known brands that cost twice the price. I have know purchased 3 of these and can highly recommend them.
Brilliant!!!

Such an easy and simple way to get wireless internet on your computer/laptop! - And for the price is definitely worth it! It's not one of the fastest devices out on the market but its does the job (not slow and awkward)!!

The Sweet Wireless LAN adapter, is a simple plug and play piece of hardware that gets the desktop without wireless functionality working within minutes. You just plug and play, choose the software from the CD provided, and pop in your wireless key, and you are good to go. Dependant on your Broadband speed, you will be impressed on how quick this is. Considering I have 3 computers in the house running of the Broadband, the speed is not compromised, well I haven't been able to notice this anyway. But a definite purchase who want to add Internet to an additional computer.
Entirely reasonable for the price

This wireless adapter is nice and cheap at £10, but I have found that download speeds occasionally plummet, recently it dropped from about 6Mbps to about 0.8Mbps after a few minutes' solid downloading.
A note for Vista users: it had been recommended that you let Windows install the drivers to avoid the use of what I hear isn't a particularly good connection manager, but this applies to XP and not Vista. The option in the disc's autorunning program to install Vista drivers works just fine and Windows manages the connection well.
