The laptop was bought for a combination of home and business use. It stylish, and the quirk with the fingerprint is really nice. As long as you're using internet explorerer, the machine will replace all your passwords with the thumb print, no...thats really practical.
The screen is very clear from most angles, and it's fully able to run Blu-Ray discs in HD. It got good gaming capabilities, and you can safely play Crysis. In stead of a remote control to the multimedia functions, it got a multimedia toutch field on the left side of the keyboard. It's a good consept, but the panel is irritating me with poor responsivness. There are plenty of ports. The touch plate used for a mouse is working well, having a good scrolling field to the right. It's also imressiv when it comes to music, and it can easily replace your stereo in a small room. Batterytime is poor, at the best 2 hours.
The worst part of this machine, is...no doubt.. the 16 inch screen. It's by far wide enough, but the vertical lenght is such a limiting factor, that I'm seriously contemplating getting me a new laptop with a "normal" 17' screen. Except for movie channels, there are no one...I mean absolutely none..who cater for this screen layout. Just to read a little bit of the Jyllandsposten or The Times online, makes you sit there scrolling until kingdome come. Not even a picture can you enjoy without a finger on the scroll field. A word document is turned into a nightmare... Not to speak about a spreadsheet...
This is a beutiful PC for home use, but if you do plan to do just a little bit of serious work on this, leave it. Go for a normal format screen
