Asus Eee PC 900 Win-BK / Intel Mobile / 1GB / 12GB / 8.9 inch / Windows XP / Netbook / Laptop / Black

I was really looking forward to my 1st purchase from play.com. They have been 1st class with there service and support, which is a shame asus havent been the same. All the reviews state a long battery life, but the u.k model gets a smaller battery than the 701, hence it is very poor. Asus promised to address the issue with a battery replacement program by sending the original battery back and for a small fee get the larger 5800mah battery, great! I phone asus only to be told this has been suspended and dont know when it will start again. Then to top the battery issue off mine and alot of others it seams, so check yours if you already have one, it will lose 20% of its battery when it is fully shut down over night, so the eee pc 900 does have a problem with battery life. Im now going to return it, as im not waiting for asus to address these issues as i dont know how long they will take to sort them.

Even though I did not get mine from Play.com I was still compelled to write a review this little gem. The start up time on this little pc is approx 30 seconds and its ready to roll. Small, sleak, light, fast this pc ticks all the boxes and I use it all the time commuting to and from work. The battery is as everyone says a little bit of a let down but you can always get a better one direct from Asus and its not too much of a bugbear. If you are in doubt about getting this netbook all I can advise is get it you will not be dissappointed.

This machine is excellent for the price and performs well. It's easy to set up and connect to wireless internet. It's great for browing, checking emails and voip. It evens has a 1.3mp webcam that works perfectly. Also comes with numerous software packages installed but you can always download other programs if required.

Amazing thing. Good quality screen, nice keyboard. Battery (4400mAh) could be better. But that's not a big problem, I already got two extended replacements - 6600mAh and 10400mAh. Excellent value for money.

get it ! cant fault this 'netbook' does everything you would want and more,familiar xp system makes it a breeze to operate.
battery life could be better but asus are addressing that just now.
very speedy for processor size,screen great to work with despite size.
a small tip,install all new programs to drive D and save all your documents to D as well.
thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking about it.
