First off a big thanks to play for including a larger battery, whilst substancially adding to the weight of the laptop it makes a hell of a difference when using Vista.

So good points. The keys feel nice, everythings well positioned, your not likely to accidentally knock a button or move the mouse whilst typing.
Its very fast, agreed its not as fast as a Core duo but unless you're doing some hardcore graphics/video/number crunching you shouldnt notice to many problems.
The hard drive is huge too, you'll find it hard pushed to fill it full of mp3's and other media files in a hurry.
I'm also very impressed with how quickly it charges up, took no time at all.
Bad points, now there's a few.

Its heavy. This is with understanding what with it being a media laptop. But if you're going for a light machine stay away.

Its comes pre-loaded with so much bloatware software i found it quicker to download vista, burn vista, format and reinstall vista than try remove all the additional software. (If you're planning on doing the same make sure to use Driver Magician first (free software) as Vista doesn't auto detect much of the hardware).

At the time of writing I notice HP have released XP drivers, I've not tried it yet so not sure if there's enough available to run the machine. It'd be a shame if not as the machines biggest problem is Vista. It sucks the battery dry in no time at all, its slow and unresponsive and makes an incredible laptop above average.

All in all its decent, if a media laptop is what your after. If your looking for something small and light then avoid.
