Like everyone else, I have just bought the earlier model with exactly the same spec. It is really a great laptop. The AMD processor is nowhere near as efficient or quick as the Intel Core 2 Duo processors and runs very.very hot so careful not to block the vents. Although a bit slow at times, the 250gb disk and 2gb of RAM means it is respectable in most areas. The screen is a really good size but is very reflective and not that bright which can give issues under bright sunny conditions. All in all, well built, great spec., beautifully constructed but runs hot, slow, and screen a bit lack lustre. Absolute bargain and don't regret buying mine (although the space bar doesn't always register first time)
Don't worry about RAM issues...

As with all the other reviewers, I have the earlier model (TX2050ea) with identical specs. Can't think why they re-badged it. Performance is great, though the heatsink does get worryingly hot while on mains power. Two batteries is a great idea and a life-saver on long trips. The Turion chip is a little disappointing compared to the Centrino on my last laptop, but it can be easily supplemented with a Readyboost compatible USB drive, available from your good friends at Play.com (plug, plug)!
great laptop (tx2050ea)

I have the older version, the TX2050ea, but its specification is identical in every area. Its a great laptop, AMD processer runs a little hot. Haven't had any problems with wireless networks or any software problems like mentioned before. All in all, a great laptop and this one came with a free long-life battery as well as the normal one.
