Needed a cheap (black) DVD drive and this was perfect especially as the other PC dealers wanted £5 postage.
The products name alone would tell you it was IDE and OEM so I really don't see hoe other reviews hold this against it.

Well i cant fault this item took me less than 5 mins to set this up little bit noisy but my last one was there is no drivers for this product just connect and go easy peasy :)

There are no directions. If you know nothing about master and slave like me and, even when told about them, can find no markings on the drive to indicate where to find them it takes a long time. I eventually found a site which demonstrated how to install such a drive. Then you really can install it in 10 minutes. It is now working well.
