This is a great device.
Lovely 8.9" screen and fast wireless internet.
Comes installed with everything you'd need for day to day use, but as a little internet device for lazing on the sofa, it's perfect!
This is a fantastic m/c - but you have to work at it!

It's a brilliant netbook but if you're new to Linux you could be frustrated ( assuming you're not XP !) .......... but I'm loving it - trying not to break it and really trying to master it !
Suggest everyone goes to the Acer Aspire One User Forum - very helpful.
Fantastic little machine

This is a great little computer. The linux based OS runs really well on 512MB and 8GB SSD. I have 'upgraded' mine using a cheap SD card in the expansion slot, which was detected by the system automatically. May not appeal to regular XP user, but would be fine for someone who perhaps hadn't used a computer before. The interface is very simplistic and non threatening and allows easy access to email, internet, wordprocessing etc. If you want to do anything more complicated like adding new programs you will need more knowledge of linux.
Amazing price for such a little laptop.
Pros: Small size, lightweight, fast boot time, easy to use interface
Cons: Small viewing angle, may require good linux knowledge
Brilliant Machine Brilliant speed brilliant Price!

This machine really is the business and is best in the netbook category. It is by far one of the cheapest around with high specs to reflect that price. It is super fast taking only 15 seconds to boot up and logged on ready for you to use the software preinstalled.
It also very slick and looks a whole lot more professional than the Eee PC line, glossy chassis with a smooth blue look. This is one for the grown ups.
Within 5 minutes you can use the system and all the software that you could ever need is already preinstalled ( open office firefox Messenger webcam etc)
You cannot hear this machine it is silent which is fantastic.
You will not be able to get much more value for money, the machine is a winner and I would recommend it to anyone.
