LG GH22LP20 22x DVD-RW Lightscribe Internal IDE Drive

I was looking for a new DVD burner that could support all format discs, i was looking at a samsung model but i came across this one by chance, the drive is very fast and somehow more silent compared to my DVD-ROM drive.

The disc also comes with a free copy of nero express 7 which is handy and also supports lightscribe so no more sloppy writing with the sharpie! it also comes with an auto update software to update the firmware so you don't accidentally update it with another models firmware whilst doing it manually.

Definitely the best DVD drive on the market now, and for £18 its a bargin!

I would have given this 4 stars to vent out my anger of waiting 3 weeks for it to arrive due to the royal mails poor service!, but its not Plays fault, and such a good product does not deserve such criticism, well done to LG for a great piece of hardware!

the cd and dvd drives i have in my computer are connected via ide 40 pin cables, will this drive work in my computer?? can someone reply back pleeeeeese ty

This DVD writer is a true multi-burner. It has great spec and comes with 2 bezels (black and ivory) so it should look good in to any PC. This is a full retail kit which includes Nero 7 essentials and Cyberlink DVD software in the deal. It was very easy to install in my 6 year old Athlon XP2100 PC running XP Home edition. Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

I needed a new writer, but didnt want to spend much, this is excellent i usually use external hdd for moving things, but this burns incredably fast, reads slightly slowly, but for £18 you won't find better

Includes SecureDisc which can store redundancy data on spare space of a DVD. Means that a scratch will very probably not render a half full disc unreadable. Great for backups.
