Logitech Z-5500 Digital Speakers

I purchased these speakers in 2009 and now 2012 they're still working like new, not a single problem. The sound you get from this set up is mind-blowing, especially the bass.

I have mine connected to my PS3 via optical cable so it delivers rich high definition sound. I've had numerous noise complaints due to the speakers and that's with them on half the volume :D. Purchase these speakers and you will not be disappointed!

well i have a set of these and well there mind blowing !! just everything is great about them !! and my question is can you use these with your t.v .. iv read that you can but it only gives you a 2.1 if you hook it to your t.v ... i would try it my self but i wont have a flat screen till xmas :( lol so please help ... thanks.

These speakers are so good, you cant tell which ones are playing sound... it all comes together like a 3d puzzle in your ears :) Hint: Looking around prices go from £200 to £400 amazon.

Just hooked up my Z5500 with my LG 22" M227WD and Pioneer DV-600AV-K with digital optical cables, and put Star Wars III to do a test run, and to say I was totally blown away is an understatement. I am going to connect my Xbox 360 tomorrow and I am already smiling form ear to ear like a two year old who has opened his christmas presents.

These speakers are great, i did a lot of research into these before i actually bought these for £200 (bargain). And everyone were saying 'the bass the bass the bass' and i can kinda understand what all the fuss is all about.. its simply Satisfying xD

The sound is crisp, clear, loud, vibrant, and gives u a big smile :D Although, i do recommend buying a Optical Cable for the system, if u got a ps3 or a xbox, i think ps3 is better :) but it does deliver a much better sound, which lets you experience Dolby Digital and Pro Logic both very good sound formats. Plugging in your ipod is also a ease, and sounds great.

Set up is very easy, comes with 5 pairs of wires which are very long lol.. i wasnt sad enough to measure the bL0dy thing but i wud say like 11m or something.. dont take my word for it.. haha.

When my mates come around for a game of cod or fifa its always a great plus to have such filling sound around the room, having such clean and smart details you dont notice on normal telly speakers.. like the crowd in fifa is more louder and more involved than u might of thought.. In cod5, i turned the volume up to about 25% and my mate literally jumped up when i shot him with a shotgun lol.. the bass gives a great edge to nearly everything about games... And I SOO believe that Sound is HALF THE EXPERIENCE of games and movies.. For £200 its a bargain, you cannot go wrong, if u got the money and you would like to treat your ears more then get these... i wouldnt really get them for £250 but they will go lower eventually.. only because they were on for £200 earlier..

Overall, its a great piece of kit.. bluray movies are a blast, normal dvds are as good i think.. Games are wow.. Music is amazing, playing full volume while looking at the bass bounce in and out is pleasing and satisfying.. A party proof piece of kit tbh

I've been using these for mixing audio and setting audio to video - they are an absolute delight!

For anyone who's ever been to a recording studio and they've told you "we always check on standard speakers before we burn the final mix because your speakers at home will never compare to the stuff we're using here" - well here is the exception that kicks the rule on it's ass and has it crying back to the people who told you, begging them never to say it again!

Crisp, clear and very easy to set-up. The quality is enough to hone in on the slightest imperfection on any track (if you're recording or mixing) so you know whatever you send out for the world to hear (or your client) will be pristine no matter how expensive their sound system is.
Of course, this means that if your music sucks - you're gunna know about it. I advise if you don't want to hear your music exactly as it was intended then don't get these.

For personal use they go as loud as you want them to and then some... and then some more... again the quality is not to be rivalled with and the sub will have the people down the street trying desperately to hold their ceiling up (if you, like me, like to feel like you're at a live venue whilst sitting in your room...)
Alternatively you can EQ it to be perfect for tranquil and peaceful music to chillax to in the knowledge that your sound rig is cooler than the guy's next door.

I bought this for a lot more than is priced above - having said that I decided I -HAD- to have it when it was new. Either way, the price is really good for what you end up getting. It's currently on my PC but is equally as good for being rigged up to your TV - although I do STRONGLY advise to make sure you've turned everything else on and don't go on a channel with static, cause that's gunna be unpleasant to listen to..

i bought this about 2yrs ago used for £100. i was very lucky and still am.

it is amazing for your tv, and specialy your movies and music! you have to buy this as only your neibourghs will regret!
the bass is very very powerfull (turns my bed and the rest of my house into a constant massage haha) and the small speakers are very clear and sharp!

I am now on my 3rd set of 5.1 speakers, and about 7th set of speakers overall, and these top the list by miles. The sound quality is fantastic, as long as the source is good, the quality is amazing.
Word of warning, the woofer is BIG! I mean BIG!! over 1' each way, and weights about 20kg! It packs a real punch too. Overall brilliant speakers, the control box is a nice touch too, and you even get a remote for extremely lazy volume control!

Got this a gift last April, still going strong to the present day :D ... this set is just so awesome, I would recommend it to anyone as long as you have good neighbors lol. I would also like to apologize to mine, sorry. :)

Ordered these speakers on sunday, and they arrived tuesday. Absolutely amazing value for money. Really easy to setup!!

Got it connected to my ps3 and my pc and its just too good to be true!!

Definetly worth its weight in gold.
