Removed the NC10 1GB module for this one and it works fine. Not the fastest but no problems and worth the upgrade at minor cost as expected with Kingston Value RAM. Tech details/Speed etc: CL5 (3ns - 8ns), tRC = 54ns
Bought two of these for my Macbook when they were priced at £12.99 each, so even more of a bargain. In my opinion, they are better value then the equivalent PNY RAM because of the lifetime guarantee, also, Kingston is one of the biggest names in memory chips.
Purchased 2 of these modules for my Acer 5920G. Installed them today 03/24/11 and my laptop recognised them straight off. Only using W7 32 bit at present so only 3GB available to be used. Will be ready for when I go for W7 64 bit which can use more than 3GB of RAM. My laptop is 64 bit ready and was not aware of this when I changed from the rubbish Vista, so I will need to purchase W7 64 bit and do a full/clean install of the 64 bit OS as you can not upgrade directly from 32 bit to 64 bit (or visa versa). Not a bad purchase at all though. Good old Play.Com beat Amazon on price.
Ordered this particular ram after reading the other reviews. It arrived really quickly (thanks Play) and I had it installed in next to no time.
One screw to the ram compartment cover, but then it seemed as though I was going to snap the cover by the way it was bending when I was pulling on the cover. Don`t panic it just pops off. With the two metal clips (either side of the ram module) pushed away the ram chip just pops up. simply push in place the new strip of ram and re-fit the cover.
Dont be put off by the word value in the title, its great memory for the price and I would recommend this memory to anyone looking to upgrade a netbook/laptop (obviously checking to see if its compatible first).
Ordered on the monday, product arrived first thing wednesday, took me a few minutes to install. Laptop found/installed it automatically.
Brilliant value, would reccomend it to anyone.
