@ BigBadKev: using shoddy burners would do that to the discs....use a better burner like a liteon, phillips, samsung, sony, pioneer etc...
verbatium all the way....not one coaster and when it has burner was dying or fault on my end...would highly recommend
All of them have worked for me.
Only a couple did not work correctly, and that was due to an error on my half. (Wrong data type during burning)
So yeah.. great buy. Oh, and the printer is ace for these. Put em in and put custom artwork on! Great for your wedding films!
These Verbatim discs use the newer MKM-003-000 dye and are rated at 8X. I've done test burns at 4X, 6X and 8X and the 8X burns give the best results on my Optiarc AD-7200S burner based on the results of DVDInfoPro PIPO scans. Having burned over 200 Verbatim dual layer discs (a mix of these and the older 2.4X media), I haven't had a single coaster or dodgy burn, so while they may cost a little more than some other brands, IMO they're totally worth the money. The spindles I've bought from Play were made in Singapore. Also, unlike the older 2.4X media, they're full face printable so they don't have the clear ring around the centre hole.
