Probably The Best Mouse You Will Buy For The Money

| | See all pinguy1982's reviews (3)

If this was a 30 pound mouse I would give it 4 stars, but for the price it deserves all 5 starts.

The dpi settings button actually has 3 settings on Linux. The first one is pretty slow the middle one is about right and the last one is way to fast.

The side buttons are in an odd position that make them hard to use. The two buttons default to paging forward and back in a web browser.

The size of the mouse is pretty large compared to other mouses. It is a bit bigger then Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse. It also makes your hand a bit sweaty after long use because of the type of plastic in use.

The mouse wheel has got a bit of play in it from side to side but nothing to bad. The wheel has got good feed back. Scrolling, middle clicking ect.

This is the first laser Mouse I have owed. I was a bit shocked when I plugged it in and didn't see any light. I thought it was broken :)

Overall if you are looking for a new mouse I can't really say anything really bad about it. Going from Optical to laser you will notice the differences but its not as big as a differences I would replace a working Optical mouse with it. Not for every day use. It does make a bit of a differences in FPS games.

Conclusion. If I could buy a different mouse would I? Simple answer no. You are not going to be able to get a better mouse for the price.

  Excellent, not cheap and cheerful!

Been my mouse for the past 6 months, great buy for the price. Very comfortable and generously sized as I have large hands. The build quality is good and doesn't feel cheap. The tracking is very accurate and it glides over my desk, and great for gaming though it's lacking a few additional buttons. But nevertheless, it's a great all-rounder and I have even bought one for at work.

Highly recommended

  Amazingly Good Mouse!!!!!!!!!

This mouse is really good. It moves the cursor accurately and can be used on pretty much any surface. The scroll wheel and all other buttons work well. Also the forward and backwards buttons are placed conveniently for my hand size although i have quite small hands for a man. There are absolutely no major problems with this mouse. It's actually the best mouse i've ever used. The only minor problem is that the material it's made of can make your hand a bit sweaty but as it excels in all other areas i'm not at all bothered. However it may only be good for a right handed person as i've tested it with my left hand and it's uncomfortable and almost impossible to use the forward and backwards buttons.

Edit: After 1 year and 9 months the sensor has started to play up. For the price it's a good life span but i thought i'd add it in for consideration.

It's nice and firm. Not your usual teeny weeny mice that you so often find. The moulded thumb grip is perfect for my hand. (I've got large hands). It fits so snugly in my palm. Having only bought ''gaming'' mice on a well known auction site, I was expecting something poor, as usual. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality compared to ones that had cost me 4 times as much. The forward and back buttons are very difficult to click accidentally. So far I've been using it for 6 months without fault. So good that I've bought them for my other computers. How Play.com do it for only 9.99 INCLUDING delivery, I'll never know? Well done.

  nice - but not great

Not quite what I'd hoped....feels ok, but having 2 thumb buttons feels a little weird and whats more they dont seem configurable in games. Installed the driver, but cant get Battlefield Bad Company2 to pick them up. I've sent a request to Gigabyte for advise - no respond so far.
Wish I had bought a different one now.

  You will be disappointed.

Pros - High Expectations, low price.
Cons - Low Results. It's not a gaming mouse...

Synopsis: You will be disappointed.

- the secondary buttons
The level of customisation is low to non existent. If you were imagining that you would map a key to these mousebuttons, or indeed any action other than the useless/semiuseless ones prvoided, you will be disappointed.

- the dpi
At the highest dpi, the mouse becomes erratic, the other two settings work well... but you will be disappointed... just generally.

- the build quality
Having read other reviews online I saw that about a third complained that the mouse stopped working soon after purchase. 2 months after owning this mouse it has begun to cut out and works every other minute. You will be disappointed.

  Does the job!

Brillant mouse to use, very easy to use and comfortable to hold as it fits in your hand. Works pretty much on any surface, you don't need a mouse pad for this at all, that's how good the laser is.

The back and forward buttons on the side by where your thumb goes is so helpful saves time on having you to click those buttons on your browser.

The DPI button is so effective between playing a game and using it for general use.

Highly Recommended. 5*

  Very good!

Does what it says... good value and very comfortable...would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good beginners gaming mouse.

Not suitable for left-handers.

[update] 21-Dec-2010 After about 3 or 4 months usage, the mouse has stopped working completely. No clue whatz happened !
