Just to confirm a few things..

It's a very nice controller.. the original 360 controller but for windows! Works with xp, vista.

The controller plugs via USB. It also comes with a disc which installs the drivers for the controller.

£17.99 is an absolute bargain for this.

Bought one of these for DiRT and it works perfectly. Installed the drivers in XP and Windows 7 detects it straight away with no problems. The controller works with many games i have in my collection such as: Assasin's Creed, Bioshock, GTA IV, Batman Arkham Asylum, Gears of War (PC), Braid, Trine, the new Tomb Raider games. Surprisingly this works with some older games as well.

If it doesn't work with a game properly, i use a program called Xpadder (the free version) which makes it work perfectly with any game (or program) you want. The cable is quite long as well so you can sit back and relax and play your games!

This is an excellent controller which i would recommend to anyone!

Ok, for anyone who doesn't know, this is actully a wired 360 controller - it connects to 360 via USB and it's compatible with windows and actually, very, very good for using with the PC. Microsoft knew this when they made it, that's why they made it connect via standard USB rather than it's own controller connection. Nice!

All those games for your PC like GTA IV or driving games and the like, where you think you would have preferred a console controller... this is it.

If, for some reason your windows doesn't recognise it properly, you can download a specific driver from Microsoft's website. Only compatible with Vista and XP (not 2000 as I once found)

Remember, it's a 360 controller... will work with PC and 360. If you have a 360 already, you can use the wired controller with the PC. If you need another controller for your 360, again, you can use this :)

A New Dimension In PC Gaming

Top 100 PC Reviewer

The Xbox 360 controller for Windows is the perfect companion for anyone who's into gaming, especially on their PCs, as it offers a huge helping of benefits, over standard keyboard and mouse setups.

The controller has been designed to fit comfortably in the palm of its user and as such all the buttons are spaced in such a way that, pressing in combos, is no longer such a daunting task; eliminating the need to ponder over keyboard layouts, in order to figure out what exactly each button does. While it may not offer the exact same pin-precision over a mouse in a first person shooter, it features a rumble function which adds a nice and immersive touch with compatible games.

Other than what you can see in the picture the controller comes with all the essentials you'd expect such as driver discs, and manuals. The controller itself apart from being wired (USB) features an expansion port for additional devices, such as headsets (which are not included). Even though the controller is wired and we're in the wireless era, the cable is sufficiently lengthy to meet most users requirements and with a cable you can be sure there's not going to be much interference with other devices. The controller itself can be plugged into any Xbox 360 system as well as any compatible PC system, offering a pleasant cross-platform interface.

Setting up the controller is as simple as installing the drivers from the provided disc and then inserting the controller into a vacant USB port. Xbox 360 console owners can however download the relevant drivers for their operating system from the Microsoft website and plug in their console controllers into their PCs and get going. Most new game titles that feature the 'Games for Windows' slogan will automatically recognise the controller (if properly installed) and allocate the keyboard configurations onto the controller, while older titles may require you to manually assign a function to each button.

In summary the Xbox 360 controller for Windows is a must for anyone who's looking to break away from their current keyboard and mouse setups, for gaming purposes, and offers a new dimension in PC gaming. Features such as cross platform connectivity and support from current and upcoming titles make this controller a hard to resist peripheral.

 Very, very good.

Let me just start off by saying that play offer this at the lowest price on the com. Right... ive been using wsad for all games for 10+ years now. I have vegas 2 and i tried it with the controller and im sorry but you cant play fps with a controller at all. I also have tomb raider underworld and still i find it easyer to use keyboard and mouse with that game. Now we get on to devil may cry 4. this game is much more suited to the controller than board and mouse. But i still feel more comfatable using the keyboard and mouse. the controller is very well made and the buttons are solid. The 2 lil joy sticks are very sturdy and if their not shoved real hard in the direction your traveling to much should last a ultra long time. I wouldnt recommend this controller to seasond wsad players. But i would recommend it to people wanting a game that isnt on xbox but pc and dont want to learn the wsad control setup. Other than that it is a comfatable controller and i just wish i could get used to it. Oh i should just mention that the stick sensitivity is better for racing games than the a and d keys of a board.
